Our benefice is a group of churches consisting of
- Rushton with Glendon & Pipewell
- Rothwell and Orton
- Thorpe Malsor
- Loddington
If you want to paint a typical idyllic village scene you can hardly do better than Rushton in Northamptonshire, where the church sits on one side of a picturesque cricket field and a wooded stream meanders along the other. The village pub, The Thornhill Arms, which serves excellent pub food, is a good place to take a rest.
Within easy walking distance is Rushton Hall, a country hotel and health spa, popular for wedding receptions. Rushton Hall was the residence of the Tresham family, notorious for their connection with the gunpowder plot. On the outskirts of the village is the Triangular Lodge, one of Sir Thomas Tresham's buildings.
We are a church with exists to know Christ in our midst and to make Christ known beyond our walls. We are an inclusive church, offering a variety of worship styles. We aim to be:
